NEWS: Suzanne Collins & Jennifer Lawrence make Forbes' Most Powerful Celebrities list

Forbes has revealed their 2013 list of World's Most Powerful Celebrities, also known as their Celebrity 100 list, which measures celebrities' money and fame.

Jennifer Lawrence comes in at #49 (also the 2nd highest ranking actress on the list after Angelina Jolie at #41).
The second most-powerful actress on our list is newcomer Jennifer Lawrence, who ranks 49th with $26 million. It’s hard to think of an actress who had a better year than Lawrence. She started 2012 with The Hunger Games, which grossed $690 million at the global box office, making it one of the highest-grossing movies of the year. Lawrence was paid less than $1 million upfront for her work on the film but she made up for that with a much fatter paycheck to revisit the role of Katniss Everdeen for the sequel,Catching Fire.
Then she won her first Oscar as Best Supporting Actress for Silver Linings Playbook (it was the 22-year-old’s second nomination). The smaller movie turned a nice profit off its own, bringing in $236 million on a $20 million budget. Lawrence has a slew of blockbusters and art films on deck for the next year including X-Men: Days of Future Past and American Hustle from Silver Linings director David O. Russell and co-starring Silver Linings star Bradley Cooper.
Suzanne Collins comes in at #87 on the list.

With the March 2012 release of the first movie based on Collins’ The Hunger Games series, her books found new life. Last year the trilogy sold 27.7 million copies, according to
Publisher’s Weekly, 8.8 million of those books sold were expensive hard backs.
With three more movies from her dystopian trilogy set for release, Collins should keep raking in the money for the next several years.

RUMOR: Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore in early talks to play President Coin in 'Mockingjay'?

We still have about 5 months until the premiere of the much anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games  Catching Fire, but we guess it's time to say this: Let the casting news and rumors for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay begin! According to Deadline (a reliable source), 4-time Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore is in early talks for the role of President Alma Coin in Mockingjay.

As The Hunger Games moves into the final two movies culled from the Suzanne Collins novel Mockingjay, I’ve heard that Lionsgate and director Francis Lawrence are eye-ing Julianne Moore to play the role of President Alma Coin. She is the manipulative politician who figures brightly in the finale as Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) becomes a symbol of rebellion against the autocratic Capitol government.

AUDIO: Josh Hutcherson talks about 'Catching Fire', Katniss & Peeta, kissing Jennifer Lawrence & more

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star, our Peeta Mellark - Josh Hutcherson appeared on Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show (On Air with Ryan Seacrest) yesterday to discuss the 2nd Annual Josh Hutcherson Celebrity Basketball Game at Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament in Los Angeles, an event that will benefit his charity, Straight But Not Narrow. During the interview, Josh was asked about what's new in Catching Fire as opposed to the first film - The Hunger Games, Katniss & Peeta's relationship, kissing Jennifer Lawrence and more.

On changes in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire:
“I think on this movie, the story kind of opens up a lot. There’s a lot more interesting plots that start to develop and everything kind of thickens and we sort of just up the overall feel of the movie. I mean, we kept the same idea of the first with the whole world. But we just kind of bumped it up a little and made it a little more immersive, but it’s really great. [And] we stayed true to the book as always.”
On Katniss & Peeta's relationship development in Catching Fire:
“I can’t divulge any kind of plot details, but it’s up and down. Katniss and Peeta’s relationship is very complicated. It has a lot of little things that have to be worked out, but it’s good. People, I think, will be very satisfied with it.”
On kissing Jennifer Lawrence in Catching Fire:
“I’d say there’s a natural stirring that happens in your body. If you’re in the moment, you’re in the scene, whatever naturally happens is what’s supposed to happen.”
